Premium Smoked Pimenton Paprika peppers are slowly dried over live oak coals for a period of weeks. Over time, the bright red pimenton peppers attain a rich, sweet, smokey flavor that imparts a savory depth and gorgeous color to any dish. 

Our source, Burlap and Barrel, partners with a single family-owned fabrica (estate) in the Extremadura region of western Spain, which has a Designation of Protected Origin status in the European Union. The taste has been described as unique - a combination of hardwood smoke, ripe tomato and summery sweetness. 

COOKING

  • Mix with salt, cumin and coriander for a beef or pork dry rub
  • Add to Spanish paella, hummus, or as garnish to salads
  • Pairs well with: black peppercorn, coriander, cumin, saffron, garlic
