This particular mix of Ras el Hanut captures the flavors and spirit of Morocco. It's anaromatic mix of warm, earthy spices with a sharp, spicy finish (thanks to plenty of cayenne pepper!) Use it to season stews, soups, roasted meats or get brave and try adding as a topping on cookies or sweets!
The name Ras el Hanut translates roughly into "the best of the shop." Each shop has its own unique blend that contain up to 20 different spices.
This mix features incredibly fresh 'royal' cumin, Ceylon cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, Zanzibar black pepper, coriander, cayenne, allspice, nutmeg and cloves - all freshly ground to a consistent, medium-fine grain size.
