Premium Wild Timur Chilis are a member of the Sichuan pepper family that provide a tingly tactile sensation along with a robust, earthy flavor. You'll recognize it immediately if you've ever had Sichuan Chinese food.
These Timur Peppers are exceptionally rare. They blow you away the minute you open the jar with a blast of citrus-berry flavor that is unique. They are harvested wild in Nepal and you can grind them just like a regular peppercorn, but the taste is anything but "regular." Surprisingly, these chilis aren't incredibly hot, but in addition to the strong flavors, the taste lasts a long time.
One dish that begs for these peppers is stir fried Mapo Tofu - or any stir fry for that matter!
