Ground Curry is an original blend from the Swahili Coast in Zanzibar. It is a very gentle mix of local cumin, coriander, garlic, turmeric, black pepper, fenugreek, fennel, ginger and cardamom. The rich soil combined with borderline rainforest precipitation results in a unique, smooth flavor that is perfect for stews and rubs.

Gently bloom a tablespoon or two in coconut oil, ghee or butter, then, if you have it, add some coconut milk. Combine with any fresh veggie in season - like tomato, zuccini, eggplant into a robust, savory sauce for chicken, shrimp or fish.

The turmeric's curcumin is complimented by the black pepper to maximize the nutrients, which are claimed to be anti-inflamatory and beneficial to gut health. Try it with sauces, stews, salad dressing and even baked goods for bright color, depth of flavor and wellness.
